Will all go shatter on a wax floor (where are you?) God’s in Australia she can't hear you anymore but I could speak I could shout I could be an aid in the dying nation but I'm busy busy busy being general in the me generation walk steady now get my good side get my good side get my good side documentary moon I wanna change my adventure I’m gonna write you a play It’s gonna flatter the world I’m gonna marry a man whose lips look like answers keep your questions moving you can't stop this girl but I could speak I could shout I could be an aid in dying nation but I'm busy busy busy being general in the me generation walk steady now get my good side get my good side get my good side one more time now walk steady now get my good side get my good side get my good side get my good side

I stood at the funeral in rooms from her mind and no one was dancing to no one’s surprise ill make you an offer some music for life I'm concerned with my performance I'm concerned with me performance the man at the table has just lost his wife his foreheads an office his guilt is a tribe he won't eat your heart yet but he's built to survive I’m concerned with my performance I'm concerned with my performance oh everyone’s telling with what they're not telling you who they would like you to be the theatre is changing the stage is a wall the patrons are glittering in spite of the fall and everyone’s crying but I can't at all I'm concerned with my performance I'm concerned with my performance oh everyone’s telling with what they're not telling you who they would like you to be somewhere you told me to be a person alone and said it with words of true care and stone I keep on walking by my own now I know you tell me something contradictory candid fiction-ry no one knows how they should really be the writing’s all around oh oh oh the writing’s all around back at the piano I should say I'm the best then would you listen? would I pass your test? I’ll give you my vision will you give me rest? I’m concerned with me performance yes I am concerned with my performance all the time concerned with my performance

Wonderful 03:42
why are you here? are you wonderful? are you the one? who told you then you are wonderful? now the games begun if you knew what I knew you wouldn't stay here you'd run away here leave it all behind but now you don't know where to go this is all you seem to know you're doing what you can to toe the line it’s getting darker now it’s getting darker all the time will you find a way to shine? how did you know? you were wonderful you must have believed where did it go? the wonderful well everything can leave so it goes the story’s old everybody tells you so but no one can tell no one how to live this is all you'll ever know nowhere left for you to go remember what it was you had to give it’s getting darker now it’s getting darker all the time it’s getting darker now it’s getting darker all the time will you find a way to shine?

Germany 04:39
I watched you walk away from me down a road in Germany the blue eyes from the book you sold gazing out a mask of old the sky became a memory confusing all that I could see so I went high inside my tree on that road in Germany we found that night a room alone there was no time to put on clothes so we went blind in marigold our simple lives had finally broke your voice stepped over years of strain and held me in my secret pain and while we're here it doesn't end you sounded like by deepest friend an elephant from Paris came to celebrate and blow the flame and put you on his back again carried you through moonrain I heard you from the mountain cry tell New York I'm still alive tell New York I am still alive but who can live on dragonflies while ballerinas speak your mind and bicycles to tell the time the opera turns into a knife the writer from the red cafe serves a drink and burns her play who would read it anyway why'd I go to Germany

Dog Song 03:44
can you hear them screaming? the haunted flutes clawing from the stuck schools they're being banged and smothered into plastic sealed in white drowned by night I beg the moon but shes singing lalalalalalala they drown the children make them all believe those who feel funny are the clowns in the street hey can you dance? they're asking me can you dance? and be free forgive this intrusion forsaken illusion I begged the moon again but she just kept on lalalalalala drink drink drink drink and be like we like right like we like like me me like I swallowed the gum I followed the hum I still hear them moaning boiling in cum mangled in cages strangled in sex making plans and faces so hollowed with regrets lalalalalalalala can you can you dance can you can you dance can you can you dance can you dance and be free? can you can you dance can you can you dance can you can you dance can you dance and be free? they drown the children and make them all believe that those who feel funny are the clowns in the street it’s time to punt my part and leave all this cream drift off the river die in my dream forgive this intrusion forsaken illusion listen to the moon let’s sing in unison lalalalalalala her sad eyes all knowing her smile so forgotten her love’s an empty question her mouth’s a row of rotten still I beg you see me I'm taking off my mask let me sing inside you that is all I ask while the bells slam bodies like plaster whales in pots stoned and badly bleeding I got drunk and I forgot

Refrain 03:44
I wish it was me at the piano you see playing daily in this rain but I don't know his name just that he looks the same but lives on a refrain there’s a girl in the garden I’d like to know her name I’d like to tell her plain I am the same but when I see her face I’m in a different place I live on a refrain there’s a place I go where the people know me they tell me where to stand and the music in my mind goes all quiet for a time so I've employed policemen they live at my back door I've scratched at all their faces our blood drips on the floor they say you can't run away you can't run anymore but pilots in the masquerade say come on baby fly away take your rivercoat and play the wind these technicolor drops of time will stain the fabric of your mind go live go live go live there’s a place I go where the people know me they tell me where to stand and the music in my mind goes all quiet for a time

Time 05:52
time walked out the window dressed up like the sun sat down on the sidewalk said I love everyone kissed me on the mouth looked me in my head I’ll teach you to remember I think that’s what he said and then women dressed in sandals with rainbows in their eyes went screaming down the freeway it’s the fourth of July time came back round said you look different now your eyes once ever moving are now so still so brown and everything you wanted and all you thought you'd be is spinning round your finger just like me and then women dressed in sandals with rainbows in their eyes went screaming down the freeway it’s the fourth of July now and forever now and forever time walked out the window dressed up like me sat down on the bench said do you still believe I didn't mean to hurt you you didn't fly away and this is how it happens when you decide to stay and then women dressed in sandals with rainbows in their eyes went screaming down the freeway it’s the fourth of July ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada I’ll help you out ladada

about

Ticking Man is a musical odyssey that follows an ordinary American man as he morphs to society’s mold and moves to the consuming pace of its clock. This metamorphosis closes his soul and turns off his light. He becomes a stranger to his magic. Yet the music still plays - the music never dies. Will he hear it and forgive the way he has been taught to understand time?
